Funding Priorities for Great Basin Outdoor School
Catch a glimpse into our program!
Thank you for your interest in Great Basin Outdoor School! During educational programs students are immersed in day trips and multi-day overnight ecology camps in spectacular natural settings on Nevada’s shoreline of Lake Tahoe and other local sites. Students hike, snowshoe, learn local ecology with hands-on standards-based activities, and volunteer on conservation projects. Great Basin Outdoor School operates exclusively in Nevada and has served thousands of children and adults as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 1998. Children in need are included thanks to generous community support.
This is what you can make happen with a grant from $1,000 to $10,000!
As of 2019, Great Basin Outdoor School has the following funding priorities:
Educational Program Funding: support children's education through science and nature camps at Lake Tahoe.
Scholarships: support children and classes at the poverty level, some who otherwise may never have the chance to experience and learn about nature.
Support for outreach to community, teachers, schools, volunteers, and supporters. Please call or email Summer at 775-324-0936 or email@example.com to talk with her about these exciting grant opportunities.
