Family Guided Hikes!
Come join us on our monthly hikes! Four of them will be in collaboration with Gear Hut Reno! These short excursions are led by our knowledgeable naturalists and created for the whole family to enjoy!
Participant numbers will be limited, so be sure to register below!
Donations are not required but are highly appreciated.

Let's go on a tadpole hunt!

Join us for a fun demonstration into the life cycle of a frog! We'll explore the wetlands behind Rancho San Rafael Regional Park and seek much-needed shade as the temperatures rise. This is a great beginner hike for young kids and fun morning walk for all ages!

The trailhead is located in the Reno Softball Complex north of the intersection of North Virginia Street and North McCarran Boulevard. It is tucked in a corner at the far end with info kiosks and bathrooms. We'll meet there and head to the water!

This is a popular event, and registration is limited. Book now!
Guided hikes are scheduled and occur permitting weather. We will attempt to notify you 24 hours in advance if the hike will be rescheduled. Some weather conditions that will result in cancellation include but are not limited to an Air Quality Index (AQI) greater than 100, chain controls on major highways, or rain. Hikes will only be rescheduled once.
