Family Guided Hikes!

In collaboration with Gear Hut Reno, we will have four special guided hikes this year! These short excursions are led by our knowledgeable naturalists and created for the whole family to enjoy!
Participant numbers will be limited, so be sure to register below!

Donations are not required but are highly appreciated.

Family Hike Event

Saturday, March 30th, 2024
10:00 am to noon

Washoe Lake State Park

Families are welcome to join us at Washoe Lake State Park to hike at the amazing dunes. Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a camera! The park fee is waived, but donations are appreciated. Guided hikes are scheduled and occur permitting weather. We will attempt to notify you 24 hours in advance if the hike will be rescheduled. Some weather conditions that will result in cancellation include but are not limited to an Air Quality Index (AQI) greater than 100, chain controls on major highways, or rain. Hikes will only be rescheduled once. 

All ages and skill levels are welcome

Our guided hikes are free to all members of the family. Payment is not required, but donations are definitely appreciated! Because of donor support, we are able to keep our program costs low to reach those in underserved communities. We appreciate you for supporting us!
