These short excursions are led by our knowledgeable naturalists and created for the whole family to enjoy!
Participant numbers will be limited, so be sure to register below!

Tahoe Meadows
Join us Saturday, August 15 at 10:00 am at Tahoe Meadows
for our family hike.
Meet us at the west end of Tahoe Meadows for our family hike starting on the boardwalk. We suggest turning around in the parking lot at the snowmobile sign on the right to get on the correct side of the highway so you don’t have to walk across it and parking near the XC ski sign at the trailhead.
Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, a hat, and good walking shoes.

This is a popular event, and registration is limited. Book now!
Guided hikes are scheduled and occur, permitting weather. We will attempt to notify you 24 hours in advance if the hike will be rescheduled. Some weather conditions that will result in cancellation include but are not limited to an Air Quality Index (AQI) greater than 100, chain controls on major highways, or rain. Hikes will only be rescheduled once.

Our guided hikes are free to all members of the family. Payment is not required, but donations are definitely appreciated! Because of donor support, we are able to keep our program costs low to reach young children and families in underserved communities. Each family who donates will receive a pocket field guide to over 100 local species in appreciation for supporting us!
